Encouraged by positive feedback and growing demand, a homegrown love for baking evolved into a professional endeavor. The decision to open a shop was both exciting and ambitious, bringing handcrafted baked goods to a wider audience. The shop became a space where creativity and community flourished, particularly with a special focus on sugar flowers—a labor of love that brings elegance and beauty to every creation.
However, the unexpected challenges of the pandemic led to the temporary closure of the shop. While this period was difficult, it reinforced the importance of adaptability and passion. With renewed focus, the craft continued to grow, emphasizing the importance of making someone’s day truly special through personalized creations.

Met Yvonne just from google while searching for cake for my daughter’s birthday. She was a nice lady and we started talking. She sent me designs of cakes and my daughter choose the barbie cake. Ordered a couple of cakes for my partners 30th. Placed the order a bit late as it was for the Saturday and this was Wednesday but they managed to pull a couple of fantastic cakes together that were stunningly presented and were absolutely delicious. The prices are also competitive with other bakerys so I was not paying over the odds. All in all, a very pleasant experience dealing with The Cakery Bakery.

Due to the shop bring shut due to Covid, I explained(in some detail)over the phone what I would like the cake to look like and I was not disappointed with the end result.
